Mr. De La Rosa is in his 4th year at Wilson Middle School.  He taught mathematics at the high school level for twelve years.  Mr. De La Rosa also has over fifteen years of high school basketball experience (three at the varsity level) prior to helping Wilson achieve a 2nd place finish two years ago in boys basketball.  He is looking forward to a great year teaching three Introduction to Algebra Classes and two Algebra classes. Mr. De La Rosa is going on his 3rd year as an ASB Advisor, assisting with such activities as dances, long snacks, and Student Council Duties.  He is also excited to see all the young talent Wilson has to provide in the basketball program.
Mr. De La Rosa is a graduate of California Polytechnic University, Pomona; where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies 2001.  He continued his education at Mt. St. Mary's College in Los Angeles, where he received his Master's Degree in Education in 2004, as well as his Single Subject Credential (Foundation Level Mathematics).
Mr. De La Rosa married his high school sweetheart Cynthia in 2002. They have been happily married residing in the city of Arcadia and are celebrating their daughter, Mia Elaine's second birthday, this September.
